ARIES AR-323 DUAL MIXER MODULE

The Aries AR-323 is a dual mixer module which can be used as 2 independent mixers or as a single expanded mixer. Used independently, each mixer has 4 inputs; the first 2 inputs of each have associated input attenuators and inverter switches. Jacks A and B are the outputs of each of these 2 mixers.
But it can function also as an 8 by 1 mixer. Jack A+B is the sum of the outputs of the 2 mixers and jack A-B is the sum of the output of mixer A and the inverted output of mixer B. Stereo matrix effects can be accomplished by patching the sum output to one channel and the difference output to the other channel.
This module is direct-coupled, which allows it to be used both as an audio signal and a control signal mixer. Mixing envelopes with other inverted envelopes and using the sum to control a VCF can provide varied and unusual timbral envelopes.
